The Blechnum tabulare develops a short, sturdy trunk that slowly grows taller over the years. From the crown, glossy dark green fronds grow and arch gently outwards. The leaves are firm and keep their fresh, deep green color throughout the year. In a sheltered garden, greenhouse, or conservatory, this fern adds a tropical feel with a simple, structured shape.

Light: Partial shade to shade, avoid harsh midday sun.
  
Outdoors: Ideal for sheltered gardens, patios, or lightly shaded spots.
  
Indoors: Can also be grown in a bright room or unheated conservatory, as long as it is protected from hot direct sun.

Water: Keep the soil evenly moist, but make sure the roots don’t sit in water.
