The Anemia mexicana is an elegant fern with airy, finely divided fronds. Originally, it grows in Mexico, where it can be found in sheltered locations with sufficient shade and a light, humus-rich soil. This species is less well-known, but therefore especially attractive for collectors or garden enthusiasts looking for something unique.

Location: Partial to full shade, sheltered from the harsh midday sun.

Water: Keep the soil lightly moist, without letting the roots become waterlogged.

Soil: Light and humus-rich.

Winter: Moderately hardy; protect during severe frost with leaves or fleece, or overwinter in a cool, frost-free place.
