The Polypodium vulgare, also known as the common polypody, is a species of fern native to Europe and parts of Asia and North America.

The leaves are firm and have a leathery texture. The color of the leaves varies from light green to dark green. Polypodium vulgare is a hardy plant that does well in the shade, but can also grow in a semi-shade position.

It is often used as an ornamental plant in gardens and parks. In traditional medicine, Polypodium vulgare is used as a natural remedy for various ailments, such as cough, asthma and stomach pain.
